'Washed' Stolen Sedan For Sale Doesn't Fool Passaic Sheriff's Detectives A Bronx man who brought a stolen car for sale to Paterson got jailed instead, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. Those involved apparently took multiple steps to "wash" the 2021 Acura TSX's particular identifying information, the sheriff said. In order to deceive unsuspecting buyers, a bogus title to the car was obtained from the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission, Berdnik said. Phony license and VIN plates replaced the originals, he added. Driver Hospitalized In Ridgewood Crash A sedan driver was hospitalized with a serious head injury following a collision with an SUV in Ridgewood. The senior male driver was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood via a village ambulance after his Acura TSX and an Infiniti QX60 collided at Cantrell Road and Highland Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21.
