Fort Lee Preschool Registration Closes Soon

FORT LEE, N.J. -- The Fort Lee School District offers general education inclusive preschool classes -- and the application deadline is Monday, May 2.

The program is open to all Fort Lee 3- and 4-year-olds. They must be 3 years old on or before October 1 and not age-eligible for kindergarten.

The classes are taught by certified teachers and supported with paraprofessional aides. This program provides an inclusive educational environment for preschool children, aligned with the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Expectations and includes both typically developing and special needs preschool children.

The program will provide a morning and afternoon session, following the ten-month school calendar. The morning session is from 8-11 a.m. The afternoon session is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuition is $400 a month for half-day and $700 a month for full day. Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation.

The preschool program will be located at at School No. 2, 2047 Jones Rd., in Fort Lee.

You can get the application here or pick one up at 2175 Lemoine Ave., Sixth Floor. You can mail, drop off or email applications, to cfrate@flboe.com -- but they must be received by 3 p.m. on May 2. Call the business office at 201-585-4612, ext. 7506, with any questions.

Acceptance will be determined by a lottery on Wednesday, May 4.
