The Korean Advisory Committee is comprised of Deputy Mayor Jongchul Lee, Council President Christopher Chung and volunteers Chun Sik Pak, Andy Nam, Young B. Cho, Jay W. Lee, Danny D. Kim, and Ruby Kim.
“It can be difficult for some members of our community to express their comments, concerns and suggestions," Mayor James Rotundo said, adding that he hopes " the governing body and I can better serve our community as a whole.”
About half of Palisades Park's 10,000 residents are Koreans, according Deputy Borough Administrator Austin Ashley.
"We have done a lot of development and have seen a steady increase in the Korean population over the years," Ashley told Daily Voice.
"It makes sense that these residents can have somebody to contact with comments and concerns that knows their language and issues and can get that information to the mayor and council efficiently," he added.
