Tractor-Trailer Fire Jams Approach To Nj-bound GWB

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A tractor-trailer fire early Tuesday jammed New Jersey-bound traffic headed to the George Washington Bridge.

The trailer carrying Home Depot goods caught fire on the upper level roadway under the apartments, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.

Firefighters doused the blaze and sanded the roadway, Pentangelo said.

No injuries were reported.
