The 36-year-old attendant at the Sunoco on Lemoine Avenue next to the George Washington Bridge stuck his hand in the window to collect $36 when the driver hit the accelerator around 9:45 p.m. Monday, Capt. Patrick Kissane told Daily Voice.

The attendant was dragged past the McDonald's and Fort Lee High School before falling off near the entrance to the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway, Kissane said.

He was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center with what turned out to be minor injuries, the captain said.

The driver was described as black, with short hair and a goattee and in his early- to mid-30s.

Although police interviewed some witnesses, Kissane asked that anyone who saw anything that could help the investigation contact borough detectives: (201) 592-3700.
