YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A man who stuffed several bottles of liquor into his bag tried to fight off store employees at Linwood Wine and Liquor before officers arrived and arrested him, Fort Lee police said this morning.
Alan Mabra, 51, of Manhattan is being held on $25,000 bail in the Bergen County jail, charged with strong-armed robbery, following the 1 p.m. incident yesterday afternoon, Lt. Kenneth Porrino said.
Mabra, who police said has a criminal history, had the bag taken, after which the officers returned the roughly $300 worth of stolen booze to the store.
