Peter Live, 41, received down payments for properties at his Live Realty company and “failed to complete the real estate transactions…instead of holding the money in escrow,” between December 2016 and June 2017, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Live “did not complete any of the related property purchases for the complaining clients,” the prosecutor said.

He was charged by summons with theft by deception, failing to make lawful disposition of property received and misconduct by a corporate official.

An Oct. 18 first appearance was scheduled in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
