Port Authority Police: Driver E-zpass(ed) Toll 270 Times, Owes $17,500

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A motorist pulled over for blowing through an E-ZPass lane at the Lincoln Tunnel had done it before -- 270 times -- and owes $17,500 in tolls and fees, Port Authority police said Monday.

Officers stopped the 2014 Nissan driven by 33-year-old Tara Paczkowski of Old Bridge at 9:30 a.m. Monday after she passed through the E-ZPass lane without paying, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

When she couldn't produced a transponder, the officers checked her account, he said.

They arrested her on theft charges and impounded the car, Pentangelo said.
