Port Authority PD: No Plates For Driver Stopped On GWB In Fort Lee

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A driver stopped by Port Authority police after blowing through a George Washington Bridge toll booth had no transponder or license plates on her car -- and an upaid toll ticket for the New Jersey Turnpike on her front seat, authorities said.

Another motorist, meanwhile, has duct tape over the rear license of his motorcycle -- apparently to try and beat the system, they said.

PAPD Officer Juan Guzman was on patrol on the bridge's lower level Friday morning when he stopped a silver 2008 Ford, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

He arrested the driver, 29-year-old Jacqulyn F. Corona of Edison, for theft of services, toll evasion and failing to display license plates.

Later that day, Guzman made another stop -- this time of a 2016 Triumph motorcycle that passed the toll with the obscured license plate, Pentangelo said.

"There was no EZPass transponder, either," he said.

Mark C. Archibald, 23, of Brooklyn was charged with theft of services and toll evasion. He also received a summons for the covered plate, Pentangelo said.
