Mr. Hector M. Gonzalez, 61, was charged with driving his four-door 2007 Chevy under the influence and careless driving after the incident on Center Avenue around 7 a.m. Tuesday, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

Officers responding to the crash "noticed the suspect's face was red and he was sweating profusely," Pentangelo said.

The driver of the 2006 Ford Explorer that was struck refused medical attention, he said.

The WH Linen Supply Co. truck out of Clifton was impounded until a company representative retrieved it, Pentangelo said.
