The department also presented 17 awards for distinguished acts or achievements.
Sworn in by Municipal Judge Marc. A. Raso were four recent graduates of the 37th class of the Cape May County Police Academy: Police Officer Martin Clancy, Police Officer Arturo Bellini, Police Officer Nicholas Valakas and Police Officer Timothy Conboy.
Those sworn who entered this week: Police Officer Eric Yi, Police Officer Andrew Flax, Police Officer Donald Liu, Police Officer Travis Philhower, Police Officer Evan Teel, and Police Officer David Moscaritolo.
“The newly appointed members are a welcomed addition to the department,” PIP Police Chief Michael Coppola said, adding that they “will replace officers who retired, transferred to other agencies or were promoted.”
