YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Images released this afternoon by the FBI show the Asian man in the black fedora and dark sunglasses who robbed nearly $15,000 from a Palisades Park bank yesterday doing the same in Hoboken on Monday and twice on Wednesday — on Delancey Street in lower Manhattan and, later, in Queens.

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The FBI this morning issued an alert for an Asian robber in a black fedora who local authorities said took $15,000 from a Chase Bank branch in Palisades Park yesterday afternoon, dropping most of the cash as he fled. READ MORE….

According to an FBI release:

At 3 in the afternoon on Monday, he entered a Chase Bank branch at 125 River Street in Hoboken and stopped at the check-writing counter. After looking around, he gave the teller a note and reached into his pocket with his right hand “without saying a word.”

“After being handed an undisclosed sum of cash, the robber took the envelope… put it into his pocket, and left the bank in an undetermined direction.”

He was described as in his early- to mid-20s, thinly built at about 6-foot to 6-foot-2 and 170 poounds, with dark hair and wearing a black hat, pewter color framed Ray Ban sunglasses, black leather jacket, North Face backpack, medium wash colored jeans, and black and white shoes.

He struck twice on Wednesday — first at a Chase branch on Delancey Street, also around 3 o’clock. However, the FBI said he fled without any proceeds.

Later that day, he entered a Capitol One Bank in Flushing, gave the teller a demand note and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In both New York incidents, he was described as in his early 30s, nearly 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black coat, a black fedora, and black sunglasses.

Then came yesterday’s holdup, just after 2:30 in the afternoon.

While fleeing, he dropped a large amount of the haul, the FBI said.

The images are similar to the others. He is:

Asian, slim
5’10” – 6’2”
About 170 lbs
Early 20s to mid 30s
Clean shaven
Black fedora, Ray Bans
North Face backpack
black and white shoes
leather jacket

Anyone with information about these or any other bank robberies is asked to call the FBI in NJ at 973-792-3000 or in New York at 212-384-1000.

Citizens in New York can also contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
