YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Talk about taking a nickname too far: A Toms River man checked a bag at Newark Airport that held several Mary Jane candy wrappers filled with pot, Port Authority police said.
Baggage screeners on Friday night alerted PAPD officers, who found seven small wrapped bags of marijuana in a larger ziplocked bag, along with a pack of Zig-Zag rolling papers in another, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The officers tracked 49-year-old Gregory Murphy to Gate 85, Pentangelo said.
Then they paged him.
Murphy was released on a court summons charging him with drug and paraphernalia possession.
