The 30-something man was taken to Pier 125 in Manhattan after jumping from the westbound level at 7:10 a.m., the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.

NYC EMS pronounced him dead at the pier at 7:48 a.m., he said.

"An unattended Toyota believed to have been driven by the man was left on the westbound lower level roadway," Pentangelo said.

He became the 14th GWB suicide jumper this year and the third since the installation of a suicide-prevention fence on the upper level's southbound side began.

18 people jumped each of the previous two years.
