Man held in Palisades Park slashing, fight with Fairview police

ONLY ON CVP: A Guatemalan native was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with slashing his girlfriend in Palisasdes Park and fighting with police in Fairview.

The INS has also placed a detainer on 23-year-old Salvador Ramos, who is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, assault on police, making terroristic threats and four counts of illegal weapons possession — two in each town.

Police arrested Ramos at the victim’s sister’s house in Fairview following the incident, which began Saturday at the victim’s home in Palisades Park, police said.
