Leonia School Board Member Faces Sex Charges From Chiropractic Office

LEONIA, N.J. – Detectives arrested a Leonia Board of Education member twice in three days on charges of sexually touching three different patients at his chiropractic office in Englewood, authorities said.

Archer L. Irby, 45, remained free on $7,500 bail, charged with criminal sexual contact, attempted criminal sexual contact and lewdness.

Irby, who is married and lives in Leonia, first posted $2,500 bail after a woman who’d just been in for treatment at Irby Spine Care on Grand Avenue notified authorities, acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Additional charges were brought on Monday following reports from two other women, he said.

An Aug. 17 arraignment was scheduled.
