Garfield gas station robbed at gunpoint

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An armed robber made off with more than $400 in cash from a Garfield gas station tonight, police said.

The attendant at the Delta station in the 700 block of River Drive told police the robber got into a waiting, dark-colored Hyundai or Mazda after robbing him with a handgun around 10:10 p.m.

The attendant said he got away with between $400 and $500.
