Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said members of his Fatal Accident Investigation Unit used parts of a black 2016 Kia Optima to track down Alexander T. Kim, 28, of Tenth Street.

They charged him criminally with leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury and issued him a summons for leaving the scene, Grewal said.

The woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that responders said turned out not to be life-threatening after being struck on East Brinkerhoff Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets around 7:40 p.m. March 10.

Found at the scene were the auto parts used to identify Kim’s car, the prosecutor said.

Kim was released on a summons to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on March 27.

Grewal, meanwhile, thanked Palisades Park police for their assistance.
