Detective Lt. Kenneth Porrino cracked the case, leading to the arrest of Enna Garland of Manhattan.

Porrino found that Garland – who records show turned 41 last Saturday – accessed computer databases with identifying information for all of the employees at Care One on Bridge Plaza North, Capt. Stanley Zon said.

“The incidents most likely started in April of 2014 and continued into September of 2014,” Zon said.

Assembling the information, Porrino found a pattern, he said.

Zon explained:

“Garland sent sent fraudulent requests to the processing centers requesting payments for the employees whose identity she had taken from the databases. [She] had the processing centers send her ADP Aline debit cards in the names of the identities she had taken from the databases of Care One via FedEx.

“Garland cashed or redeemed the cards and used her position within Care One to doctor the payment spreadsheets to show the payments to these employees.”

The victims either “were not employed by Care One when Garland requested payment for them,” he said.

Porrino contacted them, and they went to their local police departments to report being victimized, the captain said.

The investigation was continuing.
