Officers found 29-year-old Jennifer Owen of Kearny asleep at the wheel of her 2007 Honda around 5 a.m. at 14th Street and Marin Boulevard, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The northbound vehicle was straddling the double-yellow line and the engine was running, he said.
After an officer awoke her by tapping on the window, Owen’s speech “was slurred and imperceptible,” Pentangelo said.
Owen was charged with DWI, reckless driving and delaying traffic and her car was impounded.
