The woman didn’t want to bring charges after the birdbath narrowly missed her, one of the responding Bogota officers, Detective Geoffrey Cole, told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

However, he said, she called police again about an hour later and played them the voice messages.

Cole and Officers Jerome Fowler and Officer Devin Rivera then arrested Donald Michael Bann at his Fort Lee Road home in Teaneck and charged him with making terroristic threats and harassing calls while on probation.

A temporary restraining order also was obtained.

Bann posted a $20,000 bond and was released pending a hearing in Bogota Municipal Court.

Records show Bann has been arrested no fewer than nine times in the past 13 years on charges that have included simple assault, domestic violence, harassment and criminal mischief.

Bann also was released on a shoplifting summons two months ago April 16 after the manager of Queen Anne Wine and Spirits said he tried to steal a bottle of $16 vodka. Employees detained him until police arrived.

He was on probation following his arrest two years ago in Teaneck on a host of charges, including weapons possession, threats to kill and being a fugitive from justice, records show.
