6-figure Dumont bank robbers caught after chase into NYC

Two men robbed a Dumont bank of more than $100,000, then led police on a chase into the Bronx before they crashed their car and were caught. The armed pair wore ski masks as they held up the Mariners Bank in a small Washington Avenue strip mall Thursday night,  Bergen County Sheriff Leo McGuire said. Fort Lee police spotted their car as it reached the George Washington Bridge and chased it across the Hudson.

Forensic specialists from McGuire’s crime scene unit processed the car and the scene, where they recovered the cash and a handgun.
