PALISADES PARK, N.J. -- Robert J. "Bobby" Ardire, a lifetime resident of Palisades Park, died on Thursday, June 16. He was 72.

A Navy veteran, Ardire was a retired member of IBEW Local 164. He became an electrical inspector in Union City.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Buso) Ardire; children Lisa Ardire-Juliano and her husband Jason, and Tamara Sloves and her husband Shawn; Marie's children Frank Cappa and his wife Lisa, and Michele Cappa; siblings Mary Lou and her husband Leon Fortin, and Edward and his wife Linda Ardire; grandchildren Amanda, Frank, Meagan, Gabriella, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Christopher and Kayla Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main St., in Fort Lee. Assemble directly at the St. Michael Church, 19 E. Central Blvd., in Palisades Park, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass on Monday, June 20.
