Palisades Park Cop Facing Drug Charges Had Assault Weapons, Report Says

PALISADES PARK, N.J. — Assault weapons were found in the Fort Lee residence of a Palisades Park police officer who last week was arrested on drug charges, NorthJersey.com reports.

Reports that Richard J. Giacobone had been found dead on Tuesday were confirmed to be false on Tuesday, authorities told Daily Voice.

Last Thursday, police were asked to do a welfare check on Giacobone, when Fort Lee police officers saw firearms in his home, the article said.
