Invitations were sent early in September to the four council candidates. Democratic Council Candidate Christopher Hillmann replied he would be happy to participate in the event. The other three candidates were again contacted in early October to confirm their attendance, but Democrat Council candidate Ian Godfey and Republican Council candidates Josephine Ciocia and Ronald Kistner said they could not attend due to scheduling conflicts. No alternate date was requested.

The board members of The Contemporary Club voted to cancel the forum for this year and expressed the hope next year’s candidates would be able to appear to give their qualifications and reasons for running for council and take questions from the public.

Council Candidate Christopher Hillman was notified of the board’s decision.
