Cindi McLean has been away from her family with her toddler, Isaiah, who is at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for the past month, the meal train page says.

Her husband, Lenno, remains at home bringing children to school, cooking and helping with homework.

"Isaiah has endured so much in just three years of life," Cindi McLean said. "We just wish we could have a diagnosis so that we can find a cure."

Since Isaiah was born, he has undergone an enormous number of genetic and blood tests, studies and imaging. He has endured a host of medical problems including:

  • Bowel intussusceptions
  • Ketotonic hypoglycemia
  • Cerebral infarction
  • Chronic cdiff (clostridium difficile)
  • Chronic elevated pancreatic enzymes
  • Developmental delay
  • Dilated cardiomyopathy
  • Dysmotility (requiring continuous G/J tube feedings)
  • Facial dysmorphia
  • GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)
  • Hyperkeratosis
  • Kallmann Syndrome
  • Mitochondrial disorder (unidentified)
  • Oral aversion
  • Pectus excavatum
  • Watershed in his brain

"As you can imagine, this journey for the McLean Family has not only been an emotional rollercoaster but also a tremendous financial challenge," YouCaring founder Ann Louie said.

"Isaiah’s hospitalizations and medications are not fully covered by insurance and with only a one-income household they have now incurred a significant amount in medical deductibles, copays and additional expenses for equipment and supplies to ensure that Isaiah is as comfortable as he can be at home."
