Adam Jaffe, a LHS graduate now living in San Diego, has launched a fundraiser with a goal of raising $6,000.

He says he's doing it for his son, Lucien, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder.

"This is obviously something that no parent wants to face," Jaffe said on the page. "With the support of my fantastic wife, therapists, teachers, family, friends and many others, Lucien is making great strides. But we can do more for Lucien and millions more."

Together, Jaffe and his son have tackled a Disneyland Star Wars 5K, the Coronado Bay Bridge 4-miler and will run the Encinitas Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving.

At the age of 7, Lucien has run more than 100 miles in his school’s running club.
