Leonia Board Of Health Offers Daily Pet Licensing

LEONIA, N.J. -- It's against the law to have any dog or cat without a valid pet license issued by the Leonia Health Department -- and you can get a license on any business day.

Fill out the form here, and submit it with a copy of a valid rabies certificate and payment. If applying by mail, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. For this purpose, a valid rabies certificate is one where the vaccine doesn't expire before Nov. 1 of the licensing year.

The Leonia Board of Health is located on the second floor of Borough Hall. The board's office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and until noon on Fridays.

If you wish to speak with someone at the board office, the direct line is 201-592-5780, ext. 259, for the nurse, and ext. 261 for the health inspector.
