Another Victim Gunned Down At Deadly Paterson Street Corner As Citywide Killings Continue One of Paterson's most notorious street corners claimed another life Wednesday night during one of the deadliest years of violence in the Silk City in the past decade. The victim this time was a 58-year-old woman who was shot dead in the chest near the corner of Van Houten and Summer streets shortly before 9:30 p.m., responders said. Diane Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene moments later. Five shots in all were fired, bystanders said. It was unclear whether the shooter had been caught or a suspect identified. Paterson Man, 26, Slain In Street Shooting UPDATE: Authorities identified a man shot and killed on a Paterson street corner as a 26-year-old city resident. Shaheem Jones and a 28-year-old man who also was struck in the 8 p.m. shooting Tuesday at the corner of Van Houten and Summer streets were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where Jones died soon after, they said. The other victim was in stable condition, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora said in a joint release.
