A Hudson County man admitted accepting mail-order fentanyl destined for New Jersey’s streets that shipped to his home from Mexico, federal authorities said. Miguel Polanco, 31, even watched a how-to video on how to handle the shipment, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said following a plea hearing in Newark on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Teacher Who Sexually Assaulted Teen Hudson County Students Gets Prison Time
A 46-year-old teacher was sentenced to time behind bars for sexually assaulted two teen students in Jersey City, authorities announced. Francisco Realpe, of Hoboken, was sentenced on Jan. 6 to concurrent four-year sentences in New Jersey state prison for two counts of sexual assault that he pleaded guilty to last June, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Fight Broke Out Before Double Stabbing That Left Union City Boy Dead: Prosecutor
Authorities have release preliminary details in a double stabbing that left a teen boy dead and another seriously hurt in Union City this week. Five teens were involved in a fight at 40th Street and Bergenline Avenue around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Allen Flores, 15, of Union City, and a 16-year-old boy were each stabbed and hospitalized. Flores was pronounced dead at Christ Hospital in Jersey City. DWI Officer Ran Red Light Causing Off-Duty Crash In Hoboken: Report
A 24-year-old Union City police officer was apparently DWI when he ran a red light and struck another car while off-duty in Hoboken last month, the Jersey Journal reports. Kevin Roldan allegedly ran the light on Paterson Avenue and struck the other driver heading south on Harrison Street around 3 a.m. on Oct. 16, the outlet said citing a redacted criminal complaint. Several prostitution-related arrests were made in one day as part of a continuous effort to combat violent crimes in one Hudson County town.
