Paramus PBA Donates $3G To Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. (RBARI) has long held a special place in Paramus Police Detective Glenn Pagano's heart. In 2008, the rescue brought him his first dog, Kylie, a brindle pitbull found on the streets of Newark. At the time, Pagano wasn't looking for a dog, but he agreed to foster Kylie for RBARI.  A week later, he adopted her. Bergen County Law Enforcement Goes Head-To-Head For Charity In Fair Lawn Bergen County law enforcement, SWAT team members and U.S. Army cadets will be going head-to-head for charity next month. Battle of the Warriors begins at 10 a.m. at Fair Lawn's Parisi Speed School, Dec. 1. Admission is $10 and will all go to charity. The Paramus Police Department, Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and West Point will compete in nine athletic events ranging from kettle bell rows to tug of war. She Thought She Wouldn't Win: North Jersey, Meet Your Favorite Fit Cop The readers have spoken and the results are in.  Congratulations to Wayne Police Officer Christie Ohlendorf, who was voted North Jersey's favorite "Fit Cop" in the Daily Voice competition. Ohlendorf, a CrossFit athlete -- was certain she wouldn't win but earned 27 percent of votes (out of the 10 total law enforcement officers). Paramus Deputy Chief Robert Guidetti took second place with 23 percent of votes.  Third place was a tie between Bergenfield PO Ahmed Alagha and Wood-Ridge PO Timothy Janz with 10 percent of votes each. Fit Cops: Officers Train Like Pro Athletes At Fair Lawn Parisi Speed School Several times each week, a group of eight law enforcers converge on the track inside of the Parisi Speed School in Fair Lawn. It's well before the sun has risen and some are only a workout away from a shift. The common thread is that they're all here voluntarily -- ready to put in work. All of the officers participate in a program launched more than two decades ago at the Parisi Speed School. The Training For Warriors (TFW) incorporates sprints around the indoor track in between sets of various upper and lower body exercises -- heavy.
