Hillsdale Man, 50, Falls From Deck While Watching Eclipse A man was airlifted to the hospital after falling from a residential deck in Hillsdale while watching Monday's solar eclipse, authorities said. The 50-year-old victim fell 10 feet from a deck without a railing while watching the Monday afternoon eclipse on Knickerbocker Road off Riverdale Street, Hillsdale Police Chief Sean Smith said. Solar Eclipse Will Close NJ School Early Concern over kids looking at a solar eclipse has caused a school district in Essex County to close early next month.
