Officers responding to a citizen’s call of an erratic driver pulled over the full-sized 2005 Ford Excursion on southbound Route 208 shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday, Detective Sgt. The rig rolled off the road, with the tractor rolling into the woods and the trailer crushing the guardrail and splitting open near the exit for Route 208 around 4:30 a.m., responders said. The 48-year-old driver from Wilmington, DE, who climbed out, complained of a back injury but refused treatment, they said. The incident occurred between Russel and Ewing avenues around 5 p.m.  The road reopened about an hour later but drivers reported slow-moving traffic.
