The reliably Democrat county voted for President-elect Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, 95,620 votes to 89,086 votes, 50% to 46.6%. A Wanaque homeowner required EMS attention for smoke inhalation after a lithium battery ignited a fierce basement fire, authorities said. The basement on Ramapo Mountain Drive was fully involved when firefighters arrived shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, they said. A passenger escaped serious injury when an SUV struck a fallen branch on Skyline Drive in Oakland, authorities said. No injuries were reported in a pre-dawn classroom fire Tuesday at the Haskell Elementary School.
