But good news for shoppers in the market for a last minute costume: Everything at the Fun-Ghoul Costume Co., which opened 37 years ago is 50 percent off. An ex-con from Union County admitted robbing a Rutherford bank of $2,300 while wearing a New York Yankees cap that police later recovered from a nearby recycling bin, authorities said. Seneca Wilson, 43, of Clark, entered the Kearny Bank (formerly Kearny Federal Savings) at Park and West Newall avenues at 4:12 p.m. April 7, 2021, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. The Stars & Stripes were raised and then lowered to half-staff in honor of a tow truck-driving first responder from Bergen County who was taken off life support this weekend after being gravely injured while responding to a call. UPDATE: A tow truck driver was fighting for his life after he was gravely injured by an out-of-control vehicle while responding to a previous accident on Route 3 in Rutherford, authorities said. A popular Neapolitan pizzeria in New York City has expanded to Bergen County. Song ‘E Napule is now open on Park Avenue in Rutherford. The restaurant is run by Ciro Iovine, a self-described dreamer, and father of three. A pizza chef since 13, Iovine met his wife, Austria, after three years in New York. A robber held up a Rutherford bank Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. The black robber – wearing a face mask, dark jacket and a hoodie -- entered the Kearny Bank (formerly Kearny Federal Savings Bank) branch at Park and West Newall avenues at 4:15 p.m., Police Chief John Russo said. He handed the teller a note with specific instructions, demanded the note back, then fled east on foot on West Newell Avenue with $2,300 in cash in a plastic bag, the chief said.
