ON TV: Demarest Boy Competes For $10G On MasterChef Junior An 8-year-old boy from Demarest will be competing for the $10,000 grand prize on a FOX network cooking competition. Mateo is among 24 of "the most talented young home cooks in America" selected for "Masterchef Junior" Season 7. They must impress judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and Aarón Sánchez. The first episode is all about breakfast, in which contestants will cook up a meal using surprise ingredients. The first episode will air March 5 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
