Paterson Shooting Spree: Four Struck In One Incident, Hospital Area Shut Down In Another
No fewer than three separate shootings overnight in Paterson wounded four men in one and forced the street outside St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center closed in another. Struck on 10th Avenue near East 23rd Street shortly before 1:30 a.m. were three city residents – 32, 28 and 22 – and a 32-year-old man from Newark. Two of them were taken to St. Joe's, and the other two arrived via private vehicles, authorities said. Paterson Pedestrian, 65, Struck, Killed By Pickup Outside Church
A 65-year-old Paterson resident was struck and killed by a pickup truck crossing a city street in broad daylight, authorities said. Rey Gaspar Ramirez Cano was crossing Main and Mary streets near St. Agnes Church shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a Ford F450 driven by Jose Alexandro Cordero Ramirez, 62, of Maryland, they said. The victim was pronounced dead less than 20 minutes later at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Paterson Man, 46, Struck, Killed By Bus
A 46-year-old Paterson man was struck and killed by a commuter bus in the city on Thursday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Main and Mary streets shortly before 2 p.m. The bus was part of Route No. 72, which runs between Newark and Paterson, officials said. There were no summonses immediately issued to the driver of the #72 NJ Transit bus, which runs between Newark and Paterson. Nor were there any immediate indications that the driver did anything wrong, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald said in a joint release. …
