Fair Lawn police sought witnesses in the stabbing of a local man by a group of assailants. Officers responding to a report of an assault with a knife in the rear parking lot of the Radburn Plaza Building found the 23-year-old victim with a stab wound in his abdomen shortly after 10 p.m. last Wednesday, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. “A witness stated that four males ran from the scene after the assault,” the sergeant said. Driver Seriously Injured In Fair Lawn Crash
A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries following a crash Monday in Fair Lawn that forced firefighters to cut a steel fence to free her. No other injuries were reported in the two-vehicle crash on Morlot Avenue at Philip Street. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Squad. : Firefighters, Colleagues Remove Concrete Worker Who Fell Into Open Fair Lawn Foundation
PHOTOS: Fair Lawn firefighters used a combination of ladders, wooden slats and ropes to rescue a construction worker who fell more than 10 feet into an open foundation on Wednesday. The worker was in obvious pain after suffering injuries that responders said weren't considered life-threatening in the Berdan Avenue mishap near Philip Street. : Firefighters Douse Fair Lawn House Blaze
Firefighters needed about an hour to put down a Fair Lawn house blaze Sunday night. No injuries were immediately reported. The two-alarm Plaza Road blaze began as a basement fire around 7 p.m. before extending to the first floor. Neighbors said smoke alarms alerted the occupants, who were seen outside the house. Firefighters had it knocked within an hour. Saddle Brook firefighters joined their Fair Lawn colleagues.
