Century 21 Files For Bankruptcy, Closing All 13 Stores
Liquidation sales are under way at all Century 21 stores after the company announced Thursday it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The impetus was a non-payment of approximately $175 million declined by the company's insurance provider as a direct result of losses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the off-price retail company said in a press release. In business for more than 60 years, Century 21 was left with "no viable alternative" to closing all 13 stores the company's co-CEO Raymond Gindi said. Several stores have been confirmed for Bergen County's newest mega mall "American Dream." Currently under construction in East Rutherford, the mall is expected to open in Spring 2019. Paramus PD: Missing Man Found
UPDATE: Paramus police said a 36-year-old man was found more than four hours after he went missing Thursday Thomas R. Marsen was last seen at Century 21 around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, borough police said. They reported him located at 6:33 p.m.

Are Bergen County 'Mother Of God' Warnings Based On Fact Or Fiction?
Local police say there's little they can do about recent Facebook reports that a female group of religious followers is stalking people in Bergen County if the victims don't report the incidents to them. Several readers commented on this story on Facebook, saying that they've been aggressively approached in a variety of locations throughout Bergen County by members of the World Mission Society Church of God, which has churches in Bogota and Ridgewood.
