Firefighters Douse Teaneck Cabinet Store Blaze
Firefighters knocked down a Saturday morning blaze at a Teaneck cabinet store. The fire broke out around 11 a.m. at Suburban Cabinets, which sits just below State Street. It quickly went to two alarms, requiring mutual aid. No injuries were immediately reported. Fire officials requested a building department investigator. ****** SEE ANYTHING? Fair Lawn HS School Student Knocked Out As Car Careens Into House
A 17-year-old passenger was briefly knocked unconscious early Monday afternoon when a sedan plowed into a tree, flagpole, wooden fence and front steps of a Fair Lawn house, responders said. He regained consciousness and was taken along with the driver, also a 17-year-old boy, to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson following the lunchtime crash on 20th Street near Eastern Drive, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. The boys -- both Fair Lawn High School students -- had to be helped from the 2017 Honda Civic, he said, adding that the passenger had a head injury and the driver a hand injury.…

Roof Of Attached Paramus Garage Collapses
Paramus building inspectors were examining a home Wednesday morning after the roof of an attached garage collapsed. Paramus police, firefighters and Rescue Squad members responded to the Hickory Avenue home after a neighbor called 911. No one was injured. A subcode official from the borough Building Department was summoned to evaluate the home's suitability for continued occupancy. Boyd A. Loving contributed to this account.
