Here's Latest Timing For Post-Thanksgiving Day Storm Bringing Rain, Gusty Winds To Region
A stretch of clear, dry weather will end just after Thanksgiving day as a complex, cross-country storm will bring periods of rain and strong winds to the region. The storm system could also lead to slippery roads, and travel disruptions on Black Friday, Nov. 25, AccuWeather.com said. (See the image above.) First Snowfall Expected Across Region Wednesday
The first snowfall of the season was expected to make its way to the region Wednesday morning. Only one to three inches were expected across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania with temps in the low 30s overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, meteorologists say. Accumulation was not likely but roads may be slippery in some spots, AccuWeather Senior Storm Warning Meteorologist Brian Wimer said. Winter Storm Expected To Wallop Northeast With Nearly Foot Of Snow
Winter has more snow in store for us, with a heavy storm expected to wallop the Northeast just as the weekend wraps up. A nor'easter expected to start Sunday could dump between 6 and 12 inches of snow on the region by Tuesday, the National Weather Service projects. Temps on Friday will be in the 20s with dangerous windchills likely in the single digits. Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 30s, windchills slightly higher.
