At approximately 7:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man experiencing a mental health crisis, who was alone in his home on Ayers Court, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr said. Officers attempted to communicate with the man, who was alone in his apartment, but he refused to allow access or comply with their orders. SWAT Team Removes Barricaded Teaneck Auto Detailer From Home A SWAT team stormed a Teaneck home early Saturday afternoon and seized a 72-year-old auto detailer who's had trouble before with the law. John Heywang barricaded himself in the Ogden Avenue home after Bergen County sheriff's officers went there Saturday morning to execute a removal order, law enforcement sources said.
