Officers called around 6:50 last night found a 2000 Honda Civic rear-ended a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta on From Road at the intersection of Midland Avenue, Paramus Lt. John Scully said.

Routine investigation turned up a small amount of pot and the unspecified paraphernalia.

Officers arrested the Civic’s driver, Aneil Patel of Paramus, and his passenger, Eric Pertuz of Fair Lawn, both 21. They were later released pending a Municipal Court hearing.

No injuries were reported, Scully said.

A 24-year-old North Bergen woman behind the wheels of the Volkswagen drove it from the scene, he said.
