North Bergen man charged with attempted sex assault of Fairview girl, 8

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 32-year-old North Bergen man was being held on $200,000 bail in the attempted sexual assault of an 8-year-old Fairview girl.

Abraham Anibol Chumil of 86th Street, was arrested yesterday by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Fairview Police.

An investigation found that Chumil “engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct” with the girl sometime last week, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Chumil, who is single and unemployed, knows the family, according to Molinelli.

He is charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault and child endangerment.
