FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- New Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Kevin Wood was sworn Tuesday night by Mayor John Cosgrove.

Woode, 50, began his law enforcement career with Paterson police in 1994 before transferring to the Fair Lawn patrol division nearly two decades later.

The 23-year veteran will be a division supervisor, Police Chief Glen Cauwels said.
