Montvale man charged with having 20 bags of heroin after police chase into Fair Lawn

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Montvale man carrying 20 bags of heroin in his car tried to outrace Elmwood Park police earlier this evening but was stopped after a mile-long pursuit, authorities said.

Officers tried pulling over a Honda Accord driven by 34-year-old Justin Clancy on Florence Place around 5:45 p.m., Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

Clancy continued into Fair Lawn before finally stopping he said.

He was released on $10,000 bail pending a court hearing on charges of eluding and drug possession.
