GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- A mini-van slammed into a Glen Rock utility pole Thursday morning, sending the driver to the hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.

Glen Rock police and firefighters responded to the intersection of Heather Lane and Maple Avenue, along with an ambulance crew from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood that took the driiver to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson.

A flatbed tow truck removed the wreck.

A portion of Maple Avenue remained closed for an extended period while a PSE&G crew repaired the utility damage.
