The 911 call of a home invasion in progress on Sycamore Terrace was lost and the operator was unable to reestablish contact, so officers were dispatched, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said Monday,

They discovered that “a member had shown up at the house to visit, which upset the caller,” he said.

The matter “was resolved between family members after it was determined that no criminal act had ever occurred and that police involvement was not warranted,” the chief said.

During the process, however, an officer sustained minor injuries in a fall, he said.
