Each year, Garfield Fire Co. #3 selects a recipient from the local schools for its Adopt-a-Family Santa Run.

That family, in turn, provides a list of children in the household, their ages, needs, and favorite toys. The company then does the rest. Local businesses also helps.

This year’s family has two children — a boy, 5, and a girl, 7.

Assistant Chief Edward Morano and his girlfriend, Amanda Yarmula (above), bought several sets of clothes, pajamas, jackets, gloves hats, scarves, socks, sweaters, as well as many toys — including a bicycle — for each child.

And they’ll all be wrapped.
