The crash occurred at Fair Lawn Avenue and Saddle River Road just before 8 a.m.

An ambulance took the driver to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for evaluation, while Fair Lawn Fire Company #4 tended to a power line downed by the crash a block away, at Kuiken Terrace, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

PSE&G was tending to the damaged pole, he said.

Delays and closures of both roads at the intersection were expected most of the day.
